I knew Rick through the golf league. Golf is a game that reveals much about character and core values. I can say, without a doubt, Rick was a caring, honest, concerned, energetic and friendly person. During golf we would have light-hearted conversation and he always was the first to make a complement about a good shot. He was a real gentleman and when he gets to the gates of heaven I am sure he will step aside and hold the gate open to let the person behind him enter first.

Anne and John and of course Rick's Family. We were shocked to hear of Rick's passing. Joe remembered when John and Rick came to Florida for a few days to help Joe. They played golf together, in fact, one day they actually played 36 holes. Rick also rode one of our bikes around the neighborhood in the morning. They had a great time! It was much too soon for him to go. Our deepest sympathy to you and Rick's Family at this most saddest of days.
Love,
Joe and Mrion

Dear Jane, Ryan, Hayley, and Abigail.. I was so saddened when I heard Ryan's message. No one had a better matched College Roommate. We even both married girls named Jane ! And, the years with the Pats and Celts were priceless. I guess it must be true that "Only the good die young" ! Love, Steve and Jane Collar

My deepest condolences to the Maxim Family. I very much enjoyed playing golf with Rick over the years in the golf league. Rick always showed great sincerity and concern for others (which can be difficult when your competing on the golf course). He was modest when he won, and he was a gentleman and a sportsman when he lost. I'm sure he'll be remembered fondly by many members of the league and his presence will be missed.

Jane,
I wanted to express to you how sad I was to hear of Rick's passing. I was honored to help care for him on his last day, and was looking forward to him getting well so that he could return to our floor. He was obviously a very loved man, and I am so happy that he spent that last day with you and your daughter. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
