Janet (Larrabee) Ward, 77, of Southborough, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Metro Medical Center in Natick, after an illness.
She was the wife of the late Paul Skidmore, who passed away in 2008.
Born in Concord, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Whitney) Larrabee.
Janet was raised in S. Acton and was a graduate of Acton High School. She was a claims adjuster for Sentry Insurance and the former Middlesex Insurance for many years. Janet loved crafting and took great pride in her garden. She also enjoyed the beaches and relaxing in Booth Bay Harbor, ME.
She is survived by her children, Candace Drake of Southborough; Jesse Ward and his wife Evelyn of Manchester, NH; a sister, Eleanor Kolenda of Stow; 6 grandchildren, Michelle Drake and her fiancé Roland Jarosz, Jessica and Michael Drake; Hoyt Ward and his wife Shannon, Danielle Tetro and Stephen Ward; 4 great grandchildren, Troy Cote-Ward, Brianna Tetro, Haley and Heidi Jarosz; and many friends and nieces and nephews who she adored.
She is predeceased by her sister Florence.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday afternoon, August 8,
from 1 to 2:45 PM at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Southborough, followed by a funeral home service at 3 PM. Burial will be private.
