Zabierek, Sigmund 'Jim', of Burlington and formerly of Belmont, died on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.
Jim was a US Navy Veteran, serving in WWII and was the owner of two businesses, The Glass House (ice cream parlor) and Inland Marine both of Watertown.
He was the beloved husband of 68 years of Lorraine (Klimonwicz) Zabierek; devoted father of Laurie Macauda and her husband Phil of Southborough; adored grandfather of Alisa Lipman and her husband Charles of Southborough; Philip Macauda and his wife Shanna of Northborough; loving great-grandfather of Olivia and Ella Lipman and Brady Macauda. Loved uncle of several nieces and nephews.He was pre-deceased by his siblings, Laura Walczak, Beatrice Antczak, Charles and Stephen Zabierek .
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 12 noon at St. Matthew Church, Highland Street, Southborough.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Morris Funeral Home, Southborough, MA.
