Dear Burks Family,
My deepest sympathy. Carolyn was an excellent teacher and an outstanding individual. My thoughts go back to my forty one years in education every so often and I always remember Carolyn and Marcia as my Maine ladies.

Carolyn left a great legacy as a teacher and a very special person. My prayers are for Carolyn and your family now and in the future.

Fondly,
Robert F. Gorman

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Carolyn was one of my classmates all through school, and my memories of her are of her beauty, friendship, and compassion to all. We were in plays and cheerleading together.

God bless and my love to all. Tisha Downer and family, Thorndike, Maine
